Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Quizzja crossword apps and website (the "Service"), provided by HELUSSIVE EOOD (UIC 202657819) ("Quizzja", "we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 14 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf.
2. Your Account
You can play with an anonymous account or create a full account with an email address or a third-party sign-in (Apple or Google). You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
3. Purchases, Subscriptions, and Virtual Items
The Service offers optional purchases whose availability varies by app, distribution channel, region, and current store catalog. These may include hint packs, ad removal, puzzle packs, automatically renewing subscriptions, and Lifetime Pro. Purchases are processed by the relevant app store or payment provider (Apple App Store, Google Play, Samsung Galaxy Store, or Stripe), and that provider's terms also apply. The localized price and offer terms shown by that provider before confirmation are the terms for your purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can manage or cancel a subscription through your store account.
- Lifetime Pro is a one-time, non-consumable entitlement, not a subscription. Where offered, it does not renew or expire, removes ads, and grants unlimited hints. It does not unlock puzzle packs. Premium subscriptions, ad-removal purchases, and paid puzzle packs remain separate entitlements.
- Refunds are handled according to the policy of the store or payment provider through which you purchased.
- Virtual items (such as hints) are a limited license to use in-app features. They have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and are non-transferable.
Durable purchases are tied to the Quizzja account to which the verified store transaction was delivered and may be restored through the supported store flow. A valid refund, chargeback, store revocation, fraud determination, or account termination under these Terms may remove the corresponding entitlement. An offline entitlement-refresh deadline is a security check, not an expiry of an otherwise valid Lifetime Pro purchase.
Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights. Where applicable law gives you a legal guarantee that digital content or a digital service will conform to the contract, the remedies required by that law remain available. Where immediate supply during a statutory withdrawal period requires express consent and an acknowledgement that the right of withdrawal may be lost after performance begins, the applicable checkout will ask for them; use of the Service alone is not treated as that acknowledgement. Store and payment-provider refund procedures do not replace rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
4. Advertising and Rewarded Hints
Advertising helps fund the free Service. Where available, Web ads are supplied through Google AdSense and iOS and supported Android ads through Google AdMob. Quizzja requests contextual/non-personalized advertising. A Web release explicitly enabled for advertising may show labelled in-feed cards on Today and in the crossword archive or catalogue, only alongside loaded puzzle content in supported advertising languages. Web ads are disabled until publisher approval and required account configuration. The Web player has no rewarded-hint offer or completion ads in this release. iOS can show labelled sponsored cards, a frequency-limited completion interstitial, and an optional rewarded hint. Google Play Android can show labelled native cards on Today and Browse, an interstitial after three distinct puzzle completions and celebration dismissal, and an optional server-verified rewarded hint when the verified balance is zero. Samsung Android contains the same placements but requires separate release configuration and verification. Native macOS, Windows, Linux, and Huawei Android do not display ads in this release.
Accepting these Terms does not give consent to optional storage, measurement, or advertising. Advertising is requested only when the applicable consent controls permit it. Web Cookie settings and the available Google advertising privacy controls let you change your choices. A verified current Premium or Lifetime Pro entitlement prevents new ad requests. Remove Ads prevents new in-feed and interstitial requests but does not remove a voluntary rewarded-hint choice; ad requests also remain off while we cannot verify eligibility. Withdrawing consent or verifying an ad-free purchase cannot recall a request already sent or guarantee that an ad already being presented stops immediately.
If you choose an offered rewarded ad, one hint is granted only after completion is verified. Cancelling early, unavailable inventory, a provider failure, or failed verification grants nothing. Advertising content is supplied by third parties and does not constitute Quizzja's endorsement. Blocking or declining ads does not prevent you from using the core game, although ad-funded offers may be unavailable. Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain the related data processing and choices.
5. License and Acceptable Use
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own non-commercial enjoyment. You agree not to:
- Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse engineer the Service except as permitted by law.
- Access the Service through automated means, scrape it, or interfere with its normal operation.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data.
- Use the Service to violate any law or the rights of others.
6. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its puzzles, software, text, graphics, and trademarks, is owned by HELUSSIVE EOOD or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights in our intellectual property except the limited license above.
7. Your Content
You retain any rights you have in content you submit (such as a display name). You grant us a license to host and process that content as necessary to operate the Service. You are responsible for ensuring your content is lawful and does not infringe others' rights.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, HELUSSIVE EOOD will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or EUR 50.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
11. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Bulgaria, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Bulgaria, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
